Job Profile
Based in labs in London, we are seeking an ambitious and talented laboratory technician to aid in all aspects of Thermulon’s in-lab process and product development. You will work closely with Thermulon’s technical team (Chemists & Engineers) on the development, optimisation and improvement of aerogel process chemistry and aerogel products, as well as working on product analysis, data collection and reporting.
Responsibilities
- Aiding chemists and engineers in the development of Thermulon’s aerogel including:
- Reagent and stock solution preparation
- Equipment setup, calibration and maintenance
- Perform benchtop reactions
- Operating analytical equipment for silica aerogel and silica aerogel products (thermal, mechanical and structural characterisation)
- Data collection, analysis and reporting
- Continuous improvement of lab practices, experimentation & health and safety
Qualifications
- BSc or MSc in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Material Science or equivalent experience – required

Technical Requirements
- Experience working in-lab on wet chemical processes / reactions – required
- Experience working with benchtop chemical reactors systems – beneficial
- Knowledge of silica-based chemistry – beneficial
