Product Design Engineer
Flow is loved by the fastest moving hardware teams, solving fundamental problems in space travel, clean energy and transportation. You will help build the modern playbook for the entire industry.
🚀 About Flow:
Flow is “Github for hardware”. We’re building a core design/test collaboration platfrom for the hardware engineering industry. Flow helps Rockets, Cars, Aeroplanes and Nuclear reactors get to market years ahead of schedule and save billions in R&D costs.
Our mission is to bring agile software development philosophies (CI/CD, pull/push, branching) to an industry that is desperate for a better solution.
Flow is loved by some of the fastest-moving hardware teams in the world. They are solving fundamental problems in space travel, energy, and air transportation. You will get to learn about how these things are designed as well as help build the modern playbook for the entire industry.
Flow has raised $8.5M in seed funding from EQT Ventures, BackedVC, and angel investors including leadership from Figma, Unity, SAP, and Microsoft.
We’ve found some strong, early market traction and are looking for a Design-minded engineer to help with scaling up.

- We’re a small team of generalists, constantly picking up new challenges
- We’re united by our passion for our mission, deep focus, and fast execution
- We deploy to production multiple times a day
💡 How we think
- How to Build an MVP (Michael Seibel)
- Code-first vs Product-first (Zach Lloyd)
- Ideas of Don Norman
👷♂️ What you’ll do
- Build features that help solve the hardest (hardware) engineering problems in the world
- Rapidly sketch product ideas in Figma, to test on users
- Take an idea from a customer call you had to production, in hours
- Create beautiful features using a library you’ve been excited to use
- Spot simpler, quicker solutions to user problems in team brainstorms
- Jump on a call with a user who’s having trouble with the feature you shipped for them

- Passionate about solving human problems
- Love the feeling of getting something done
- Perfect is the enemy of Good
- Not afraid to develop strong opinions
- Even less afraid to change them when presented with opposing evidence
- Skilled at both designing and building products. Strong Figma and CSS are essential.
- Demonstrating this with a personal website, or portfolio (e.g. Dribble page)
- Believe your responsibility is to learn from users, not “educate” them
- Comfortable with compromising on what you think is best for the sake of solving a user’s pain sooner than had you not compromised

About Flow Engineering
Systems engineering is broken.
Despite their desperation, engineers' tools are stuck in the dark ages. Engineers are forced to use Word documents and email to stay on the same page, with no real way to collaborate and iterate designs together.
We exist to give engineers superpowers. Our mission is to vastly accelerate hardware invention by building critical software infrastructure that accelerates the baseline engineering process worldwide. Our product, Flow, is a collaboration platform that helps teams to bring products to market faster by seamlessly integrating and synchronising their engineering models.
