Rhizocore Technologies is an applied mycology company developing fungal solutions to improve forest productivity, enhance biodiversity, increase carbon sequestration, and remediate polluted ecosystems.

Our technologies are designed to support healthier forests, stronger tree survival rates, and more sustainable land management practices. We are seeking an experienced and commercially focused Head of US Business Development to lead the growth of our business across North America.

This role is ideally suited to an individual with deep forestry sector knowledge, strong industry relationships, and a proven track record of building commercial partnerships and delivering growth within forestry, natural resources, restoration, or related environmental sectors.

The Role

Reporting to the Head of US and working closely with senior leadership, the Head of Business Development will be responsible for driving commercial growth and expanding Rhizocore’s presence across the North American market.

The successful candidate will lead business development activities focused on forestry operations, nurseries, reforestation programmes, environmental remediation projects, and strategic commercial partnerships.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Developing and executing the US commercial strategy
  • Building relationships with forestry operators, nurseries, landowners, environmental organisations, and industry stakeholders
  • Driving sales of Rhizocore’s fungal technologies across target markets
  • Identifying and securing strategic partnerships and commercial opportunities
  • Supporting the development of the US business development function
  • Representing the company at industry events, customer meetings, and technical demonstrations
  • Working collaboratively with scientific and operational teams to support customer success and market adoption

Experience & Industry Knowledge:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in business development, sales, or strategic partnerships within forestry, natural resources, restoration, ag-tech, environmental services, or related sectors
  • Strong understanding of forestry operations, nursery and planting systems, forest management practices, and industry stakeholders
  • Proven success in developing and growing B2B commercial relationships
  • Experience managing consultative, complex sales processes and long-term customer partnerships
  • Experience developing sales pipelines, territory strategies, and go-to-market strategies

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree in Forestry, Environmental Science, Business, Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience with biological technologies, environmental products, or land management solutions would be advantageous
