Rhizocore Technologies is an applied mycology company using fungi to accelerate forest growth, reduce tree mortality, boost carbon sequestration, and remediate polluted ecosystems. We are scaling rapidly and we’re looking for a Sales leader to join our team and lead our business development efforts.
As Head of BD (US), you’ll play a founding role in building our North American sales strategy. From opening doors with major forestry companies to proving market demand for our products, you’ll drive growth that turns every tree planting into a more resilient and valuable ecosystem. The role will touch on all aspects of business development, including sales, marketing, developing BD strategy, account management and market education.
You will be one of our first US hires, with a direct hand in shaping how Rhizocore grows and paving the way for the success of our US team. This is an exciting opportunity to manage the business development activities of a fast-growing start-up that will have a sizable impact on increasing forestry productivity while helping solve the biodiversity and climate crises.
What you’ll do:
- Lead and grow BD activities across the US, shaping our go-to-market strategy.
- Build deep relationships with forest managers, landowners, and industry stakeholders.
- Scale B2B sales and partnerships across forestry and natural resource sectors.
- Work closely with the Head of US, our CEO, and COO on regional sales strategy, execution, and growing the team to establish and scale our sales of products to tree planting operations.
- Represent Rhizocore at industry events, building our network and visibility.
What we’re looking for:
- 5+ years in forestry, natural resources, ag-tech, or B2B sales/BD.
- A doer who is happy to dive into operations as well as work on BD strategy.
- Strong network in the forestry sector (forest managers, agencies, procurement officers).
- Proven record of scaling B2B sales to multi-million revenue.
- Entrepreneurial mindset — thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
- Willingness to travel frequently and build Rhizocore’s US presence.
